Latest Tech News - 15-May-2025

🟥 YouTube Policy Update

Let’s talk about us YouTubers first.
YouTube is talking about multiplying its crackdown 2x, 3x, 4x... even 21x or 16x!
That means — your channel could be deleted entirely.

There are many apps like gambling, “play-to-win,” etc., and a lot of people have entire channels based only on these things.

If you promote anything like that — from March 1, YouTube’s new rules will apply.
So be careful, brothers.

🟥 Decline in News Websites Traffic

Now let’s talk about a new study.
A company called Tollbit, which does content monitoring and licensing, conducted a survey.
They found that 96% traffic has dropped across all news websites and blogs.

Earlier, people wrote blogs to share opinions.
But now, when you search something, Google grabs all that info and shows it directly on the screen.
So people don’t need to visit the actual website anymore.

That means no traffic = no revenue.
Only big news networks with other income sources will survive now.
Smaller ones, who rely only on news content, will go bankrupt.

Even big names are getting less traffic. This is very concerning.
Almost all blogging businesses are collapsing.

🟥 Apple Updates – M4 and Satellite Internet

Apple has slowly discontinued M3 series, and now M4 MacBooks are here.
Personally, I’m a fan of Windows laptops, always used them.
Still, I had to give you the update — M4 is here.
Also, a new iPad has launched, go check that too.

Now many people were asking me:
“when is satellite internet coming to India?”

Well, now I can give you a date: around June 20.
TRAI (Telecom Authority of India) is preparing to give permissions.

And it won’t be an auction — it’ll be allocated equally to all companies.
This means intense competition — which is great for us, the customers.

If all players like Starlink, OneWeb get permissions, they’ll compete — and prices will drop.
In Bhutan, it’s ₹3000–₹4000, so in India expect ₹2500–₹3000 at minimum.

It’s a great option for people living in mountains or remote areas.
You can generate electricity using solar, but what about internet?
Well, now they can work too — because satellite internet is coming.

Even smaller countries already have it.
It’s a problem that we didn’t — but good news is, we will soon.

🟥 Reddit AI Moderation Update

Now to the next news — from Reddit.

Do you use Reddit? I used to, not much now.
Now Reddit is adding a new feature — before you post anything, it will tell you if it violates their guidelines.

Earlier, it wasn’t like this.
You’d post something, and only then it would get flagged or removed.
But now, it’ll warn you in advance.

🟥 OpenAI's Next Move – AI Agents

Let’s move to the next big update — from OpenAI, the makers of ChatGPT.

They’re working on AI agents for different professions — lawyers, engineers, etc.
You can pay monthly and that AI will do full professional-level work.

Need full architecture designs?
Want mechanical calculations done?
AI agent will handle it all.

Doctors may be harder (because it's critical), but lawyers, engineers, architects — done!

And these AIs don’t need rest, don’t fall sick, and work 24/7.
Companies would prefer them over humans for profit maximization.

🟥 AI Researcher Agent Pricing

Now here’s the biggest news:
If you want to hire a PhD-level AI research agent from OpenAI, guess the cost?

It’s ₹17,400 per month! (~$210/month)

That’s right. You can hire an AI research agent who’ll do expert-level research for you.

If you had to hire one — what would you research?
Tell me in the comments.
